Just by eyeballing it, our Tracker fuel tank is about 6-8" wider than the Samurai tank.

You may want to salvage one off of a 90+ Samurai with injection for an in-tank delivery system.

I saw a 16v conversion that used the sidekick tank...They had to put new tabs on the frame to mount, but it looked like it fit ok...

I put one in my lwb. It took some mods but it wasnt too bad. Just made hangers to suspend it as high as possible (flush with the top of the frame) and then cut out the round cross member and used it to plumb the filler to the tank through the frame. Then I put in a new 4x2 crossmember behind the tank. It came out really clean, but my frame may be diiferent than yours.

anyone know if the Tracker/'Kick tank has more fuel capacity than the Samurai?

No, the Capacity is essentially the same. The only advantage besides being an intank system is that the kick / tracker isn't as tall in profile as the sami tank. The extra width makes up for the loss in height.
The filler neck is higher up on the kick tank too which makes ait a bit more difficult to route. If you have a body lift and then tuck the tank up as close to the body as you can, you will gain some pretty serious clearance. This may also prove to be an advantage when lengthening your wheelbase via moving the rear wheels back.

Oh yeah, they are also a heck of a lot easier to find than a '90+ sami unit.

The kick tank in an SWB needs a body lift for the filler neck to clear or you need to move the filler location. Someone I know routed it through the rubber grommet near the rear seat belt then ran the pipe along the floor to the filler neck.

Capacity is 42 liters, the sam is 40. (1 liter ~ 1 quart)

The filler neck is the problem on a lwb too...but it easy to fix, and you dont need a body lift to do it. If I only had a star...

I'm kinda wishing I had a 1.6L, I've had people ask me if I have a GSXR under the hood. You should hear it scream at the dunes...:D

It's easy to make Toy's look bad, although some buggies with the 4.3's and ultra light toy buggies give me serious run. I think the light weight is awsome. And there always those guys running YJ with 5.0L and the FJ with 350's over all the Zuk's get it.:D

Uhh, this may sound dumb, but my 95 4-door has a 14.5 gallon tank, but my 95 2-door has somewhere around 10 or 10.5 - don't have an owners manual, so I don't really know yet.

Yeah, I had a 91 and a 92 4-door, and I think they both had 10.5 gallon tanks - the 14.5 is sure nice - I wonder if I can get one and fit it into my 2-door??? :smokin: :D
