Does anyone have a link to some good write ups on this conversion? Im going to be running a TH350 w/ d300. Any personal experience, or do's, dont's and look outs would be appreciated as well! Thanks.

So anyone with anything useful or helpful to provide me with, please chime in... www links always help...

Any books you all suggest for pre-obd engines going into a vehicle which previously had OBD2? Wire diagrams would help!

What type fuel injection. I would suggest to just get a TBI and a painless harness.

I forgot to mention this... but unfortunatly I wont be running fuel injection yet... The good side is I have no emissions to worry about here...

Im putting a late 80's model 350 carburated, with HEI distributor & accel coil. So I have no harness to run.... I have to manually tap everything in.

by defining tapping in, I mean fuel system, guages, ignition wiring, etc.

No, I was running a 4 cyl for 3 years and it was my daily driver with 38.5" swampers. It had a 4:1 in the tcase to give my jeep a fighting chance on the rocks.

I put one in my yj. Get the motor mounts from advance adapters or some place that makes them, unless you are going to make your own. Your putting in a carbd engine so you don't have nothing to worry about it is easy. The only thing that you have to wire is the starter. You just have to figure out where all the other wires that came out of you original harness went so don't cut anything out until you figure it out.
What fuel pump are you going to use? I put in an electric fuel pump since I used the advance adapters motor mount kit I couldn't use a manual pump. I think that the stock pump that your 4 cylinder used is going to be too high a pressure. You only need 7 psi or so.
What axles are you going to running?
Any other info that you might need let me know.:D

well for the fuel system your probably gonna have to re do that anyway

the guages will need to be scrap'd. search for my name under tj dash. i have a breakdown of all the wires behind the dash you need to tap into to wire up a new dash.

ignition wiring is right in the stock fuse box under the hood just hack and tap a wire or 2.

with it being carb'd it should be really easy.

I just put a ramjet 350 in and the amount of wiring you have to fuck with is probably about the same given that the ramjet had its own computer and wiring harness the main taps to the body harness are about the same.

How hard is it to wire in a fuel injected ramjet 350 into my 2003 tj rubicon??? My 4.0 is dead and gone to the scrap yard due a hole in between cly3&4 and cant be sleved cause its to far dwon int the block.

:homer:
Now that's funny.
I bet if you search, thousands of threads will come up since I think its the most common swap in YJ's, TJ's.

If it's too hard to spend a few minutes reading through similar engine swaps where the OP tells you how hard or easy it was then it is too hard for you to wire up an engine.
