Just thought I would pass this info. along so if any of you are in the area you could come out and join us.
South Central Area Rover Rally (SCARR)
Dates: April 30 through May 2, 2004
Place: Barnwell Mountain Off Highway Vehicle Area,

1,800 Acres of off road play ground, mostly wooded, geography includes red clay, sand and plenty of rock, featuring trails rated in difficulty from 1 Diamond, a nice leisure drive, to 5 Diamond, extreme difficulty. The majority of the trails are 2, 3 and 4 Diamond rated. Camping space is plentiful, RV parking (4 spaces with electric and water, 16 with electric), His and Hers Showers and Bathrooms, BBQ cafe on site, 2 motels in Gilmer:

Participants: We are in the planning stages of this event and will add more info as we have it, right now it looks like there is great interest from the Texas Rover Club, DFW and San Antonio, the Houston Land Rover Club, the OK Rovers (Tulsa, OK), and working with folks in Arkansas and Louisiana. Any Land Rover owner, from anywhere is welcome to join us. Bring your Series, Defender, Freelander, Discovery or Range Rover, stock or modified, all Land Rovers Welcome!

Arrive Friday (overnight camping OK) or Saturday 9:00 AM
Saturday; Official Check In, assign groups, demos, training, lunch and guided trail rides by capability level
Overnight, participants responsible for their own dinner and breakfast
Sunday; GPS Poker Run, participants can opt for guided or unguided trail runs.
Guided trail runs organized by level of experience and vehicle modifications
