: opinions on Kelly tires

i had a guy offer to swap me a set of 35 12.5 15 Kelly MT's for a D44 that i am selling. I have never heard of them before... are they any good? worth trading for???

I agree..not worth trading, but for a tow vehicle that see duty as a daily driver they would be a decent tire. they are sort of like an agressive all terrain. good enough to tow your rig to the camping spot in the dirt, but not good enough to wheel with...

I've had great luck with them. I burned out one set of 35's in about 35K miles on my XJ and bought another set for the CJ. They are damn near as loud as a Swamper and have good traction, beefy sidewalls, and don't wear too bad for an aggressive tread.
Put this way: they beat the sh!t out of BFG's in my book.

The Kelly DTR's are an MT. I agree they are loud as heck and are pretty nice for an MT. They do seem to be a bit softer then say the BFG MT's, but not by much.

Daily driver... The kelly AWR's are just top notch. My favorite AT, although the BFG TKO's are dang good too.
