Helping a friend buyt a lift kit for his Tacoma, can you guys give me some places were I can get them and the best prices. I know they make a few add a leaf/coil spacers, and then trailmaster makes a 6" any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Lance
go to Tacom Territory (www.tacomaterritory.com) they have a lot of useful information on this site, infact everything you would need...
Really though, I think that the trailmaster is the way to go (I have a Tacoma too:)) If you dont want to lose the IFS. I have a 3 inch body and a 1.5 suspesnion. If I had to do it all over agin I would just SAS the damn thing and save some money:)
Good luck to him!

Yeah like TyTy said go to www.TTORA.com. I have a 97 Tacoma that has been lifted since 97 on 33s and then 35s. Up front I'm running the 4" ProComp lift, 1.5" Rancho coils, 1.5" Downey spacers. The rear is 3.5" Downey springs, 1.5" Downey shackles, and 2.5" AAls. The best advice I can give is leave it stock and buy something to wheel. I now have a Tacoma that I put way to much $$ into that drives like sh!t and a 84 Runner that I'm trying to build that I would have much rather put the $$ into.

I have the trailmaster lift on my truck now and all I can say about it is I can't wait until I cut that crap off next month! :flipoff2: I have drove a SAS'ed Tacoma and the damn thing rides better then mine plus it wheels a hell of a lot better also. If you don't want to do a SAS then I would go with a 3" BL and coil overs its cheaper then TM anyway.

your in AZ?? contact yogi it seems like he is doing an SAS almost every other weekend on a taco. If your friend want's to just put bigger tires on it for cheap, do the Sway-A-Way coilovers and a BL. But if he want's to wheel it just do a SAS. Yogi has done at least three of them in the past 6 months and seems to be getting really good at them.
If you need his E-mail addy just let me know

Crap, I forgot to mention the board when I got a quote from him about installing my D44 gears and locker. Do you think it will matter if I say anything when I take it over there?
