The tubes are 3/8 - you can get D44's with 1/2 inch tubes, but they are plenty strong. It's the correct width for a cj7, which I think is the same as a TJ width. But you'll have to attach all tose fancy brackets. I've bought several scout d44's for $50 each, but with all the rust here, the axles are usually all that's left of scouts. We have a couple guys in our club running scout rears with 36" tires and they've got no problems. Nice thing is that all you have to do is move the perches to get it to fit a CJ or YJ.
