You can just open up the l gate that you currently have or I know one person that makes a twin stick but its pretty easy as I made one for mine, used the AA mount point and fabbed from their....sorry no pics

Only people I remeber hearing about was Promac, from somewhere in Colorado. (Lamar, Co maybe?). But this was at least two or three years ago, and haven't heard anything since, so don't know if they are still around. They used to advertise in Toyota Trails.

FC187 had a way sweet setup that I remember. I would contact him. He looks like he does real quailty work.

I made my own when I put in the 465 a few years ago and like coyote said it wasn't to difficult.
If you like I can take a few pics this weekend .
Also I might have it for sale this spring when the atlas goes in:D

Other than the cool factor of two levers, there is no reason to go to that expense and time. The stock shift lever is guided below the boot by a ~3/16" steel plate....2 bolts on top of the tranny, one nut on the stud on the side. You can either A) remove this plate completely or B) cut the L shaped slot in the top into a square with your torch. Takes all of 10 minutes (5 of which is removing the boot) and you instantly have 2wd low range and 2wd neutral. (YES, 2wd neutral IS different than standard 4WD neutral)

When I did my SM465 conversion, I just left the plate off. I had cut the square out when I ran the stock tranny before.

I agree with Woody, however I think if youare dead set on one, UpandOverinnovations.com sells them.

Allow me to add another point to the comments made by Woody and Nolen (Congrats new Daddy WNGROG!). There is a bit of a terminology problem with use of the term "Twin Stick". Many of us restrict use of the term to transfer cases or transfer case conversions that result in two fully functional shift mechanisms (e.g., Atlas, Dana 300 or NP205). Doing a "Twin Stick" conversion on an NP205, for example, involves considerably more than simply replacing one shift lever with two. It involves modifying the shift rails so as to allow for independent shifting of the front and rear outputs for 4WD, N, Hi and Lo. The advantage of having a true "Twin Stick" is that you can put the rear axle in neutral and the front in Lo, thereby allowing for sharp turning. Land Cruiser transfer cases cannot be modified to provide independent control of both the front and rear outputs, and hence cannot be made into "Twin Stick" units like the Atlas, Dana 300 or NP205. Perhaps "Two SHift Levers" would be a better term for those who simply want to have two shift levers.

WoW ! Just think you could put your front axle in low and your rear axle in high !
What a long strange trip that would be !:D :smokin: :rasta:

I like my "twin stick " arrangement cause I've got the option to run High or Low whether or not the front axle is engaged. I use my low range quite often in two wheel drive.

Theres a "cool Factor" to it though. chicks dig sticks:smokin: anyway, how do you convert from under the dash shifting to floor shifting with the 3speed xfer case? Matt:rasta:

Good one, Reddog!!!! I suppose there are those actually stupid enough to modify the case by removing the pills that would allow this.
