I am looking for a chevy engine wiring diagram for the igniton/starter. I am trying to build an engine stand and i need to know how to wire the engine to get it running. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

12v to power HEI
12v on a momenatry switch to the starter solenoid
chev uses the large starter post as a main power distribution point in the vehicle

and the switch goes to the terminal closest to the block or "s" terminal easy way to do it would run you battery wire to the big post and put one of you switch leads there, as well as you dist. wire, hence your 12V power, then run your other switch lead to the s terminal.
