I tried searching already but I can't find exactly what I wanted. What gear sets does the E_locker carriers use? I have heard differnet things. I am pretty sure they use the regular V6 sets. I just want to have all my ducks in a row before I start ordering stuff.....Thanks guys

I will through out a wrong answer that way you will get the correct one, High Pinion (from fj80)e lockers use reverse rotation gears, Regular ones use regular gears. I am sure I am wrong haven't looked into it but maybe someone will correct me:rolleyes:

It's not the fj80 rev. rotation gears. It is the e locker out of a tacoma or 4runner.

They use V6 gears. Highest ratio available is 4.56 from Toyota, or buy any aftermarket V6 gear to get 4.88 and 5.29.

with the fj-80 locker, is there any special setup for installing gears or can a regular gear shop do it.

The e-locker comes with optinal 4:10, 4:30, or 4:56. it is rumored to be 4:88 that comes, but that part # is very illusive. Inchworn has all the info needed i believe. also comes in the optional FJ** reverse rotation gears.

No such thing as reverse ROTATION... its REVERSE CUT !!!

(your driveshaft and axles still turn the same way they always do!)

um, so can any gear shop change the gears on these or is there a different procedure because of the e-locker? i know some people who sent them out to get gear changes and i don't know why(they sent from east coast to west coast)

I don't think there is anything too special to setting some up with an Electric Locker...

I just had mine set up by a friend of Jim's from Inchworm..
