Sucks man, at least you got your 1 hour. Don't you get nervouse laying under the truck with the front end on rocks like that? Or is there some other rock or something holding it steady that we can't see?

right front tire was in a small hole, and there was a good sized rock behind the left rear that you can kind of see.
At that point i was removing the remainder of the accordian'd exhaust system.

Hey lead foot - what is a drive train mount anyway ???
- 2 bulls sit atop a hill, the baby bull says "Daddy, Daddy, let's run down there and fuck us a few cows." To which Daddy bull says, " Son, lets walk down there and fuck them all"

lol good proverb...
but the mounts were 16 years old anyways, i think that they broke a lot more due to being old and brittle than all 150hp of fury from that anemic 3.5L...

what drive train mounts ?? Your tranny mounts gave out and the tranny dropped or the engine mounts went and the fan hit the shroud - give us the cause and effect.. how did you know you were fucked - b/c that is a shamefully small rock to hold up the trail on.. ;)

not sure, all i know is that both motor mounts AND both trans mounts are broken right now. luckily the motor didnt jump forward, it went down and backwards about an inch...
i knew i was fucked a fee hundred feet up the trail when the truck kept dying under load, i initially thought it was the coil wire that kept popping off. but, it turned out to be the hot lead from the starter to the fuse block had grounded out against the exhaust manifold, and melted itself in half. i sacrificed the power lead to the winch to make a new hot from the battery to the fuse block.
