Hey I was wondering if anyone new why when I put the chip in the 4th setting it makes the service engine light come on and cuts out. Also if I try to start it in the 4th setting it sounds if it has no diesel??? Does anybody know of this?

4th setting on what? What truck? Maybe in a different post but I don't recall...

I have Juice/Attitude on my DMax and setting 4 or 5 work fine.

I believe he's got a BullyDog chip on a 00-02 PSD.

You have access to a scanner to see what code it's throwing? Does it run fine w/o chip on the truck? Call BullyDog yet? How long has it been on the truck?

No scanner, it does run fine with out and it also runs fine in 50hp, 75hp, settings. Havent called Bully Dog and I only put it in yesterday afternoon. Thanks for the input guys

the SES light isn't a big deal... it means that the truck saw over 23.5psi of boost, it's just the maf sensor showing overboost... there's a resistor mod to cure that, or just know what it is...

as far as the cutting out? weird... i'm assuming you got a stock/50/75/100 on there? does it do it at wide open throttle after you've been on it for a second or two, or is it all the time? could be a bad program on the chip (it happens) or that the rest of the truck isn't readdy for it, when was the alst time the fuel filter was changed (seriously) it could be a supply/demamde on fuel issue...
