So the bearings froze on the alternator, fixed it.
Now the bearing on the Idler Pulley / Serp Belt Tensioner is howling, Dealer wants $199 for the damn thing! Is there a buick alternative?
Thanks

go to the bearing suppliers ask for a 6203 2RSR bearing and then replace the worn one in the tensioner £9 against £55 for a new tensioner
the circlip is not the easiest to remove but possible refit the new bearing and pat yourself on the back at a job well done and money saved.
I think PTSchram is still travelling in the UK

Damn Tony, I told the fella I'd pull his fingernails out if he told anybody :flipoff2: I didn't have a bearing in stock so I told him where to find one.
We got home the other day, found a beautiful series III that will be here soon. Even customs was a breeze-they were more concerned about our having been around livestock (a dangerous thing to admit to on the Pirate board).
Thanks again for the great time, I might be back for Billing or LRO-I'll let you know.
Peace,
PT

Thanks again PT.
I found it for 11.50 still better than Rover.
