All my jeeps you simply raise the alternator or lower it to remove the belt by turning a bolt.
There is no such device on the rover. Do I simply unbolt the alternator and swing it down?
Thanks

Put a wrench on the tensioner pulley bolt, and the belt will slip right off.

Tensioner pulley arm is spring-loaded. You basically lever the pulley away from the belt using the wrench.

Ok, that makes sense. I have to take that pulley off anyway, thats the source of my problem. The bearing is making noise.
