So people call D110's "pigs"?? Hmmm, Cruiserheads also use the term, more specifically "iron pig" to describe the 1968-1980 FJ55 four door wagon. Here's a shot that I too called "pig at the crack"!
The term wouldn't have to do with how "agile" and "delicate" D110's look, right?? :flipoff2:

Nice pics!!!
Yeah, I've seen those pics of my D110. I don't mind sharing the pig designation with the four door FJ55s since they look so similar. I've actually been accused of butchering an FJ55 to make my D110. Never had anyone call it a pig before although land yacht and schooner have been mentioned on some of the highways here with the crosswinds. Personally, I think it's more of a big brick or a barn since it's red and has so much room in it!
And for the record, I did replace the right side doors but I still have 'em in the back yard if anyone wants to see the damage done on that little flop.
Having bent enough of that aluminum myself, I can say that it does scream when bent. Actually, so does your pocketbook since the only practical repair is replacement of the panel.

In this pic, it's painfully obvious that I have two new right side doors on the D110 to replace the bashed ones from Jim. BTW, he included a new driver's door to replace the bash, but his "new" one was so messed up that it was cheaper to buy a completely new one than fix up even that one! I'm going to remove the defender stripes from both side of the truck since the replacements for those doors are so darn expensive. And no, I didn't replace the doors because of the dents but because they no longer closed properly and those single seals are bad enough when the doors are straight!

And if you look at the roof in the rear on this side, you can see the gouge from a tree that he put in the roof. I'm hoping to aquire a full Safety Devices exocage for the truck to prevent further damage!
