well i finally got to put on my custom hysteer arsm. the tire rod now mounts to the top of the arms instead of under. the problem is the passenger side tie rod end. the drag link now mounts to the back side of the rod end, and the i need it to mount to the front. i was thinking reaming out the frontside and inserting a tapered sleeve into the backside. what do you guys think? i saw some of these tapered sleeves advertised for jeeps. but i dont know if they would work for me or not? could a machine shop do this?
thanks for any help you have to offer.

A machine shop should be able to put a new hole/taper in from the opposite side, but then the new hole/taper would be way to big for the existing drag link end (loose).
Suggest weld & fill the hole first OR have the same machine shop make you a spacer to fill the difference between the stock drag link end a the new hole/taper.
Could always go to a new end with a large dia/taper...?

Going along with Bill's idea, I'm thinking that one of the early mini trucks has a tie rod end that is small enough to thread into your relay rod but has has a larger tapered end which should be big enough for your newly reamed out hole. Maybe somebody else on the board knows which TR end I'm thinking of.
