Yea, that's pretty cool. Although, they don't have one for a CJ. :(
Bastards. :D
I was thinking about doing something like that with my dash anyway. I guess I'll see how much it is before I go all ape shit about it. :D
Oh, and Scott :flipoff2:

JeepinIan 01-11-2002, 11:58 AM Hell, for a few dollars you can make one like that in a couple of hours. I couldn't find a price for it though.

Yea, the more I look at it, the more I think I can do it too.
Anyone care to "guesstimate" the angle of the top and bottom pieces of sheet metal from the dash?
20* 30*
Not that it has to be spot on, but I don't think 45* would be appropriate.
Scout Dude 01-11-2002, 12:39 PM Why don't you make it radius downward?
redruM 01-11-2002, 12:45 PM we have made a center pod similar to the yellow one above it fits in a CJ and angles all your gauges at the driver it is made of steel and comes primed for 55$ + shipping

Yes they do make one for a CJ. Why don't you look at the CJ8. The owner loves scramblers and is really nice. Last I heard he was moving to Arizon and I don't know if he is going to open shop [URL=http://www.jeeptrix.com/Pictures/Cj8/cj8interior.jpg[/URL]

Hmmm, that makes a hell of a lot of sense! He's got it in the CJ8 pages, but not the CJ7.
OH well, it's a little much, I don't need all that shit. Simple is better man, that many guages and your are just making up for something. :flipoff2:

What is the name of your company and could you please send me some pics ?
H8monday 01-12-2002, 02:29 AM I like the avalanche design, it allows easy viewing and access to all of your critical gauges, and switches.
The Jeeptrix design,..no way. It does look like they craft some very high quality products. But, the design, does not look very functional. the palcement of some of the guages looks like you would need a co pilot to read them from the passenger seat. It looks like it takes up more room than neccessary, for anything but a SCORE rig or an Off Shore Racer(or a Jumbo Jet).
I like my gauges and switches right where I can see em, in a quick glance, and within reach, without shifting in the seat.
I have most of my switches overhead, but I think Ill fab, an Avalanche CJ style design, for the gauges in my YJ.

Plastic dash (http://www.geocities.com/bossgrip/mods.html)
JJeep74 01-12-2002, 05:31 PM I am currently making one out of diamond plate and using it as the dash instead of the old so far it looks bad ass
aaronlosey 01-12-2002, 10:03 PM if you look at the galleries on my site, you can see a bunch of avalache dashes just like that one. but they aren't offered in a kit for yet, at least, i don't think so.
the stingers are though, they have a little stinger for less built jeeps, and competition stingers for more rolling protection. full width axle mounts integrated in too. call cliff to find out more. its all part of them trying to start doing more mail order business out of their denver store
nolymytz 01-13-2002, 04:19 PM Heres mine..just finished it a couple days ago. Nothing real special..

Steve N 01-13-2002, 04:59 PM Clifton monitors this board, so I bet he'll tell you guys the scoop. The stingers are going to be available in two styles, a bolt on and a more comp style weld on. Prices sounded pretty good too. (my short term memory = bad)
hey how do i put up pics i have one i fabbed myself let me know guys...
RoCkSkuLLz 01-15-2002, 09:32 AM I think the Avalanche Eng. Crawler dash's are bad ass!! I definitly have on my Jeep plans in the future. Im curious to find out how much though.
BRUISER-42 01-15-2002, 10:08 PM Hey thanks for your interest in our Crawler Dash. The page with full details will be up by this weekend. I put the beginnings of the promo link on the site, not relizing that anyone would really notice. The Dashes will come with on board welder, original dash or blank on the passenger side. All factory mounting holes with our staple stainless hardware. Headlight, wiper, heater controls and vents are all optional. I will finish determing the price based on time and quantity we will prebuild and costs. I believe they will end up around $325.00. Thanks guys, Clifton:jeep:
mike34 01-16-2002, 12:00 AM I think they should tilt them back on the top so us taller people can see them with out stooping down. Heres my dash in my flatty that I built. You very easily read the gauges

Hmmmm, don't want to step on your toes, but..... :D $325 for a dash for me is a little too much, unless it comes with the guages? But for a "hunk-o" sheetmetal, that's a little to rich for my blood.
If it includes the guages though, maybe?
