OK, I have a 95 chevy Z71 as seen below...Im fed up with having to fix parts on the dumbass IFS and am wanting to do a SAS...Currently I am running 38.5 TSL SX's and would like to stay with that tire size or possibly a little bigger, say some 40 boggers since most of what I do is run through the mud and the extra rubber would be nice...anyway, Ive been looking at axels and with my limited knowledge, I think the best axel for me is the dana 60 but im not sure...I'm affraid the 10 and 14 bolts may not be strong enough and same for the dana 44, but then again, I really dont know much about axels except thier names

any help you guys could provide would be very appreciated

14 bolt rear, dana 60 front. You probably won't ever break the 14 bolt, or the 60 with those tires stock motor, and mud running.

first of all its spelled axle.

14 bolt are only rear (unless you retube them) and they are stronger than D60 stock for stock.

If you have the cash swap a front d60 in there.

first of all its spelled axle.

unless you are british or australian :flipoff2:

you might be ok with a 44 front and upgraded shafts, if you stick with 38's

dont feel like you HAVE to go with a 60. just dont run a locker up front and youll be ok in mud

for the rear, 14 bolts are dime a dozen in the south, go to any junkyard, get a full floater (bigass hub sticking out) get a locker for it and your gravy

mud doesnt stress axles the way rocks does, and ive seen this setup run many times without problem

but if you found a 60, dont hesitate to grab it.

and grab me one too while your at it :flipoff2:
