I need some help.......I've got a 2000 Vortec V6 and am having trouble with the computer/harness. I've shipped the harness of to Injection Tech to have the things taken out that I don't need and we're having problems finding a wiring diagram that matches the computer that came with the engine. The computer only has 3 plugs rather than 4.

Have any of you folks see this or come across this?

I sure hope we don't get stumped completely on this one. Seems strange we can't get a schematic for a stock GM product!

Don't have the schematic, but since you're in Texas, check out FIS (Fuel Injection Specialties). I am thinking of buying my engine/harness/computer from them. They seem to know their stuff. They might be able to help you get what you want.

I finally got a response back from AC Delco and Delphi. It is uncommon for the vortecs to only have 3 plugs but their were some made. The system really has 4 plugs but the final plug is built into the dash.

My solution is to trade the PCM in for a 4 plug unit and then I'm done. For your records the best years to get are either 96 or 97 because they don't have the VAST system in the programming which is the anti theft stuff you will have to get programmed out.

Thanks for the information. I know about the VATS..... The fuel injection place was going to remove it and also thin the harness and remove unnecessary items.
