if it's been sitting that long look for chewed wires first..

then look at the TFI module.

Ok, where would the TFI module be located and how would I check it?

thanks

Does it have fuel pressure at the fuel rail??

Check for power to the TFI (located on the distributor), if it has power, disconect the PIP (inline fuse looking thing on one of the wires from the TFI), and check for spark again. If you have spark now, then check for power and grounds from the PCM/ repair or replace from there...

If still no spark, replace the TFI, and the pick-up (inside dist) in one shot. For the price, the year of the truck, and the time spent testing, just replace both, and be done with it :smokin:

Yes... HOWEVER..., I by-passed all the wiring for the 2 pumps and ran my own wires and stuck the power wire in the fuse box..
Could that have something to do with it?
Should i put the wires that came off the IRESA switch together? for a current?
maybe for spark?

thanks.., let me know.....

You did what??? Why???

If you are getting a crank signal to the PCM then the fuel pump will not pump, you will get no injector pulse, and you will get no spark. Why on earth did you hot wire the pump?

ok, i don't know what a PCM is Iam not a big FORD fan!!.... The truck turns over and when i push down on the "Bleeder VALVE" thing on the fuel rail i get lots of fuel!!

The pump did not work it was cutting in and out so I ran my own wires and set them to the Iresa switch then into the fuse box. On the accorises of the key...
When i got the truck the pump never plused when i turned the key the pump would come on and stay on....??? I don't know why but then it gave me problems in november and I layed it up and the other day I ran the new wires and bypassed all the orignal ones... and now I got no spark..?

PCM: powertrain control module

If I were you, I would stop working on your own truck, cause it sounds like you are making it worse. And if you keep going, pretty soon a shop won't even touch it :shaking: I know I wouldn't.

And the little thing that you call an Iresa is an inertia switch. And they don't go bad :smokin:

First of all i don;t really care if it gets worse .. its for the woods only and i would really want a shop to touch it thats why iam doin it my self and i never said the Inertia switch was bad or goes bad.
