I am looking for any info on narrowing a EB. I have seen some of the ones that have been done via photos (they where all done). What I am looking for is info on narrowing the body. The front I think seems pretty easy. The tube seems to be a little more to be seen. So can anybody help me by sharing some info on how much you cut out and where you cut it from. EX: (center, or outer edges)? and what you had to redo because of the narrowing like the steering column or heater stuff... Any help would be great plus any photos to aid in explanation would be great. And yes I did do a search with no good returns. If there are some flame me with a link.

I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do it, as long as you do it. This is what I'm doing...I cut off all the outer paneling on each side, then I cut off an additional 3" on each side. Cutting down the middle just doesn't make sense to me as everything would have to be relocated (body mounts etc). I had alot of extensive rust so I have to replace the kickpanels, floor pans, and a couple of little pieces. If yours is rust free and you want to keep everything stock it should be a lot simpler (Cut, Cut, Cut, Cut, Weld). Mine is going to have the rear quarters attached directly to the rollcage (no wheel wells), and the front will be attached to tube as well (no core support), so it will be half bronco, half buggy. With only 6" cut out of the tub, the only thing you loose is the stock ebrake location, but you can just redrill a hole for it. The front grill and hood should be pretty self explanitory, and if you want to keep the tailgate I'm sure you could figure it out.

You just might want to stop and ask yourself, if you have to ask should you really be doing this? It's not hard, you just need some patience and a little know how. As you can see from the pics it's not done yet, but it will be soon. I'm sure some people with more experience in this will chime. Good luck man.
