Hey guys, i'm not a body lift guy so i want to know what else i need to do inorder to run 33"s....... i have a 6" SPOA, 2" shackle lift in rear, rear springs up front with M/L(2" lift) so it sits about 8" higher than stock, i have 31"s on 15x8 steel rims with about 3" B/S...... and it looks like i can fit 33"s with very little rubbing, and they won't be a true 33"s tires like swampers it will be more like a BFG or some other mud terrain......(used not new) so probility around 31.5"-32" overall heigth..... i do have a bit of the fire wall cut too......
thanks
-Mike
I'm running 33's with just a spring-over. I did a little fender hammering in the front and have no rubbing at all up there anymore. The tires hit the tops of the fenderwells at full stuff in the rear, but not bad.
I added a leaf to the front spring pack and added a 1" longer rear shackle since this picture was taken....

33x12.50 Goodyear MT/R's, measured 32.25" with 25 psi. Rear springs in the front which pushed it out about 1.5". I've got five leaves in the front springs now, a combination of stock rears and some of the short leaves from the original front pack. Rear axle is moved back 1.25" with CJ springs.

ok, my rear axle is in the stock place................ i have rear springs in the front, with 1 rear ply, 2 stock front plys(mines a early 88) would i rub my rear tire on the front side of the fender? my last zuki had 33x12s on stock rims(never again) with a spring over and 2" shackles with 1/2 ton spring plys on stock main plys so the front axle is in the stock place and it rubed like crazy........ and i don't want to buy 33"s if i rub too much.....
what gearing do you have? i'm going to run just a 84 case(4.16) would that be enough?
thanks

I run 33x14 Boggers with a Toy Soa, 3" springs, and 2" shackles. The front axles has been moved forward about 1.5" and the rear sit in the stock location. I get a little rubbing in the very front of the fender.

I ran 33x12.50 Goodyear MT's with stock springs, SPOA, and front Calmini S/R. Didn't flex for shiat and I broke the rear springs due to axle wrap, so I went with YJ's. I rubbed a little in the front (in the back of the wheel well) and a little in the rear (in the front of the wheel well). Just do a little grinding in those places and you'll be fine. I was running the tires on 15x8 MRT beadlocks with 2 inch backspacing. There are a few pictures on my site of this set-up, as well as this suspension with 32x9.50 TSL's. Good luck, you should be fine. :) ~Steve

I run 33/12.50 MT/R's with 5.5" SPOA and 2" longer shackles. I cut the front of the rockers off an I still rub a little but that is at full flex and turning. Most of the rubbing I get is on the springs. I've got 15x8 repainted white spokes with normal backspace. No body lift, no gears "yet" and stock engine.
