Doubt it. In a perfect world, you could drill and tap holes a few degrees off from the existing six and rotate the case that way -- but I don't think there's enough material all the way around to allow it.

Anything can be done.... but I don't think the work and expense would justify the results in this case.

You can gain quite a bit by building a better skid plate than the factory one, tho.

thanks a lot
i didn't figure it would work out because thats how things work out for me
i didn't think the drive shaft angles would work out for that either
i guess i'll build a better plate when i learn how to weld next semester :)

I don't really see any reason to do it.. Mine doesn't hang down past the frame as it is.. the X member does by an inch or so.. but thats about it..

As for the driveline angles, it woudl be fine unless you have huge ass lift.. Most F-150's of our era have the driveshaft going uphill to the front diff stock.

there is one hole that is asymetric and would make it impossible to do without leaving a bolt or 2 out.

is leaving a bolt or 2 out a very bad thing? is there some way i can clamp it where the bolts are gone or tap a new bolt hole?
i'm probibly just goin to end up building a new skid plate anyway but i'm just curious.

you can drill new holes in the extension housing on transmission. take it off and have a machine shop do it. on the 70w there is room. on the e4od it is clearanced for the 205 shift rail so that may leave one out but i busted two bolts on mine once after a hard smack and ran it like that for two years before i fawked it up....

you dont even want to know that story though....

A simple yes would be nice-Clock it! (http://www.attitudeperformance.com/reindex%20kit.htm)

A bit pricey, maybe you can make one, maybe I could make one for you.

actually now that i look at that site it looks like all that does is make the tcase even lower than stock.....

Thats what it's for, in that app they used it clock the t-case down because of the stupid lift under it..

I still say you have no reason to clock the t-case in your truck.. it doesn't hang below the framerails as it is.. hack out the big factory skidplate, and put one in that is flat with the frame.

i don't know what you are talkin about on mine the tcase has about a centimeter inbetween the tcase and the guard the case hangs about 3 inches below the frame on mine

Contact Go2Guy and order one of his clocking rings. THe bolt pattern on the t-case is similar to a Jeep Dana 300 so those clocking rings will work.
