When doing outboard springs should I do the rear springs also, or just move the spring perches on the rear axle. Also,is there any way to use 15 inch rims on 3/4 ton axles, or do i need to use 16 pr 16.5's?

I know it sounds like alot of work I have done the out board and I have also striped the frame cut all the cross members off had a chevy doner 4x4 truck.I took all the measurments off the truck axles and what have you, installed the axles and took the factory transfercase mount bolted it to the frame.I worked on level ground used levels and protractores to level and 90` everything.
I fab all my body mounts and it looked good, was not hard, time wise I think it is worth it. I feel it is the only clean way to go.I also used the power booster, and stearing, and had to use a two wheel drive stearing box, and just drill out new holes and put the bumber's back on.You will have one wide clean ride. JUST MY 2CENTS. E-mail me if you want some pic's.

on mine i moved the rear perches in. i learned the hard way. first off i tried to grind them off, then the heat and hit method trying not to distort them but i failed. but the good news is summit racing sells new perches for $20 so go ahead beat the fawker, grind it, cut it who care the $20 for not being gental is worth it.

You do not have to out board the springs. Just move the spring purch out and be done with it.

PS. don't buy any spring purches, you would be better of making your own. That way you can make them longer, and stronger.

Hey, my $.02 is in.

You can run 15" rims on 8-lug axles. There are a couple ways to do it, either run 2.5" backspace rims, or run standard (3.5-4") backspace rims and get ready to do some grinding on the calipers.
