OK, i exploded a birf on my daily driver today. Fun times!! I pulled the shaft and all the busted pieces out of the axle then put everything back together to get out of the woods. (i didnt have a spare of course:( )

My question is.....Is it ok to drive my truck around town in 2WD like this? Or do i need to park it untill i get a new birf??

It is OK to drive it. I drove all the way from JV to Roseville with nothing in my frontend. You may get some gear lube leaking out of the knuckle.:D :usa: :D

Just shove a sock or rag in the tube to keep the gear oil somewhat in the housing. It'll be fine until you get a new one.

Vova.......

How is Hollister these days? Have ya gone down any of the non-designated trail wash outs? ;)

I was stationed at Moffet from 94 to 98. Lived in a Condo at Camden and 85. I envy you in the worst way. I miss the Bay Area.

It did pop real nice and made for a fun winch out in 2WD. I was due for one in the mud. i had the wheels spinning real good trying to make it over and out. the 22R makes crazy HP :D

That's where I thought you might have really broken it.
I was there about 2 weeks ago and gave a full size Bronco a little yank over the logs.

Actually, time flies fast these days.
It was longer than 2 weeks. I was there the day after xmas.
