I have a 1991 F350 with the 460 engine, and would like to find a stock engine fan with more blades on it. The one I currently have only has 5 blades and is 20" in diameter. Anyone know of another vehicle that has higher-efficiency fan? I want to stick with a stock fan, but with more blades.

The fan on my 1988 F-350 460 is the factory six blade flex fan with a solid spacer. No issues cooling.

The fan on my f250's 460 is the same as yours, 5 blade 20" I assume it's factory. Never had any cooling issues.....and it's a little warmer up here than in so cal!
As for where to get a different one.....Go where america shops...Pick a Part !! But you knew that !!!
Really If your having cooling prob's you might want to look elsewhere.......I have the same setup and run Kewl man :cool2: Good luck :smokin:

You may want to try an add on electric fan. I don't know of any better stock fans that will fit, but you could check some of the 70's wagons and big cars. A lot of them have large fans.

check in the newer super duty trucks they have a 12 blade fan IIRC not sure if it will swap in or not in swapping fans make sure you get a fan that rotates the correct direction for your water pump

Check your fan clutch. I had cooling issues with mine, thought the fan sucked, turned out to be the clutch. I stuck a broom handle with the engine idling and it stopped the fan. No good. Try that first. You should not be able to rotate the fan with a good clutch. Damn fan clutch was $57 though. :mad3:

If you are really having cooling issues witha little work and creativity you could probably stuff a 7.3 diesel radiator support and rad intothat thing and Bam lots of coolant. Just a thought. Check the Fan clutch.
