I have 3 460 cores sitting in my backyard. PRICE AND DESCRIPTION CHANGE ON ENGINE #1

#! is complete out of a 78 lincoln, unknown miles, supposedly ran, looks like it could again. Has rear sump pan, will fit 4x4's Price includes a in new conditoin, low miles Melling High volume oil pump, and the hardened shaft, assuming I can find it, (the shaft) $175. I will throw in a rebuildable Holley 600 CFM vac. secondaries. Price is $100 without any extra goodies, incl. the rear sump pan and related internal accesories, comes with a stock front pump(assuming I still have it,) and a front sump 5qt pan. When all is said and done, you will have a complete engine.

#2 is out of a '83 truck, its a long block, externally balanced, $75

#3 is just a bare block and crank. The block is std (I think) and is straight enough to take a hone, with no ridge at the top. the crank is .10 under, and maybe useable with a polish, I dunno. I might have rods to give ya too, 7 football head ones, one square head. Got a coulple of stock-ish cams as well $50

If you buy any of the three, you have your pick of any shit that will fit these engines to take with you. carbs, alternators, starters, brackets, and pulleys. I want this crap to go away, its piling up and im tired of organizing it.

These I am willing to deliver just to make em go away.

I have one pair of uncracked and unwarped truck manifolds, and 2 pairs of car manifolds avail if anyone is interested, at an additional expense.

Pix are available if youve never seen a dirt cheap 460 before

Yes it is complete with the accesories and brackets. Yes it has been covered up, yes it is a 4 barrel, motorcrap 4350. NO I wouldnt run it without at least taking the heads off and inspecting it.

Man, how did I know that you'd never seen a 460 before?? makin me take pics of a $100 motor.... :mad3: Anyways, here they are. I noticed the carb is crap, and there is a few other things needin fixed on this motor. I did turn it over to make sure it isnt fawked, so I know it will turn over.
I kinda wanna keep the PS pump, and brackets BUT, a deal is a deal. (I do have the brackets for a truck pump if ya wanna trade. The flex plate and clutch currently on the motor are not included, which btw are incorrect for this application (externaly balanced flywheel) I do have a flexplate for a c-6 to throw in.

[edit] wouldnt ya know it, free webhosting only lasts a day :( If you want pix, I can re post em, or get new ones of the other stuff

If ya wanna keep the pump and brackets on the engine thats cool,I can use the truck brackets. And I could use that flex plate cuz I will be running a C6.

Next weekend sometime good to come pick it up?

id stick with the setup that is there now. Honestly I need to reduce the junk content at my house. besides, the truck brackets mean I have to find and match up everything, NOT fun. What are you planning on running this in?

Its going in a 68 Mustang. At this point Im not even 100% sure if I am gonna run power steering.I took the power steering of the car along time ago being that it was mostly a drag car that saw some street.Keep 40psi in the pizza cutters and it dont steer all that bad :p

Boy, I hope you rebuild this thing before you use it. I cannot confirn that this motor ran, that is why it is being SOLD AS A CORE only.

I screwed up on the description... I found out today that th $100 motor is the one that has the rear sump pan on it, so if and when you come and pick it up, and I move it, I will need to take it the pan, pickup, and main stud out of it(and replace it with a normal stud AND 5 QT. front sump pan.) If you buy the other engine, you can keep the pan and oil pump. I will also let go a used, but new (clearance wise) High volume Melling pump(this thing measures new as far as clearances are concerned). I have 2 of them, and only need one.

I know its a core and your not sure if it ran.It will be inspected, rebuilt, and have many parts replaced before it goes in the car :D And if its not rebuildable for some reason I will just use it for a core.

Swappin pans and pickups is cool. The car uses a front sump pan .

Can I come git it this sat or sun?Im free either day.

I can take a long cut thru sac on my way to grendels house if need be. Youd need to pony up $$$ for sum fuel tho ($10) I cant find the cams, I think I tossed em, or they are buried in the shed. (Honestly, I think I tossed em)

Do either of you guys want to buy a set of [NIB] ARP main studs? Whatever summit racing sells em for, I will take 20% less. (bought em and never used em) Using them will require an extra step in the rebuild process, costing another $200 to do (align bore)
