: C6, C4 info

Tried to seach but that shit is too short. :flipoff2:

Could I take a 2wd c6 that was bolted to a 351 and swap the tailhousing/shaft from a c6 that was bolted to a 460 and is 4wd? How involved is the swap? is it even possible? How much would shop or "guy that knows his shiat" charge me? Autos are like black magic to me..

Would I be better off finding a c4 and d20 due to the parasitic losses that have the c4 making the engine lose only28 hp compared to the 58-60 for the c6.

The truck it is going into will be relatively light so a c4 might hold up ok. 1965 scout 80 body, 1991 exploder sport frame, 351w, 9 inch rear, HP 44.

YES thats what i did use the old schoool 9 inch adapter instead of the smaller one though or you might have driveline clearence issues unless your running a klune also

A third yes. Rock dog is right. If you use a short t-case adapter the front driveshaft might hit the tranny.

as far as having a good shop do it..hear in michigan it would run 70 to 150 bux..(providing everything is serviceable..).and if you watch the guy...you will probably get pissed. if he sees that your pissed, it will be another 200. :D
