So how much tippier would you guys think a 89ish wheelbase tin top would be on 36's vs 33's? I had 33's on my last samurai and it was fairly stable. I have my 36's left over from my last rig and would really like to use those. But I can get a set of 33's if there is really that much of a difference.
thanks

This rigs looks to have a slightly longer WB than stock but I could be wrong. One of the Trail Tough guys from one of our Haz-Fest events....

When I watched it wheel it always looked like it was going to tip over... :D

I guess in most north west wheeling I will need to address the width more then the wheel base.

I have an 86-inch wb with 35's. I have an 86 rear and 1.5" spacers on my front Toyota axle with 8 inch rims. My lateral stability is fine. Mine wants to cartwheel backwards or forwards more often than I like though. That tells me the wb is a little short for the tires. I am thinking about a fuel cell and pushing the rear axle back another 6-inches. I think at 92 it would be a lot better.

Keep it low and you should be fine for most situations. I ran 35s on a near stock wheelbase with no problems. I´m now going to 38,5 SXs and have streached the WB around 5", still intending to run the full body (sawzalled as required) and with the fuel cell in its original location........
