I'm trying to figure out a few "options" for my front "steering" dilemma.
1st-If I use the rear springs up from the axle will be moved forward 2 in. When you do this I really don't wanna move the steering box forward so are the "sources" to getting shart steering arm for the box or do I gotta make one?
2nd-I plan on making my X-over steering also. I was even gonna do the hi-steer at the same time. When my axle is moved forward 2in. I am planning on hooking the draglink into the tierod using the ES2233L tierod end. If I mount the draglink on the "back side" of the tie rod end it should take care of the axle being forward 2 in. from the "normal" position.
I got 2 sets of springs 1 set moves the 1 1/2 forward and the rears do 2 in. Let me know what you guys think

I am not sure what you are asking... If you are going IFS box and crossover steering, it will work fine with the axle 2" forward....

Hey David, I have my IFS box in it's orginal location. I am trying to figure out with the rear springs up front if the steering will "bind" at full compression or droop. I have seen a few draglinks angled twoard the front of the vehicle....I don't want that because it looks like more "work" for the box.....
I ran stock IFS box location, and rear springs up front - never had a problem with the drag link binding at all...

i cut 2 inches out of my drag link. and then welded it back together. it works just fine. i also covered the weld with a piece of tubing and then welded it to the drag link. i'll take some pictures someday. i really need to do the cross over, but i'm a little broke now. but it works and thats all that matters!:flipoff2:

i have an 85' it came stock with a straight axel!
i used my rear springs up front. moved the axel forward 2"'s. then i keep my stock steering. all i did was shorten the drag link 2". then slapped it back in there!
