I remember a few weeks ago seeing a picture of someones rig with guages installed in the middle of the dash where the vents were located. Were those 2 5/8 guages? I think thats the perfect spot for mine, but want to know what size to order, and how hard it was to get them in there.

I think that is the size, it's been awhile. I have done this and used Autometer gages. If your really unsure to the size of the gage, take out one vent and the plastic thingy that the vent clips into. then use a tape measure. It will be close cuz they fit pretty snug in there.

Toywagon, I have the 2-5/8" gauges in mine and they work fine
The only difference is some gauges are a little smaller than others and you may need to put a couple of wraps of black tape around them to make it a snug fit.
Have you drove that zuk yet with the toy motor?

Yeah, you got the size right, but if you're runnin' an '87, then you have to hollow out the clock that's between the two vents to put one there, if you want to keep the trim. I put one there, and it looks good, but it's a pain in the ass to hollow out the clock with out breaking it...
