: Starter or Ignition Problem?

my good friends Dodge Caravan is having problems starting and I would like any assistance on figuring out the problem.
The van only starts after a few attempts on the ignition. The first few cranks behave as if the battery has no juice, but after about the 4 or 5th attempt it starts right up. The starter and alternator were replaced 6 months ago so I am doubting its a starter problem, but I may be wrong and that is where I need the help. My thoughts were that the very worn down key was affecting the ignition so I inserted a brand new key in the ignition and it still does the same thing. What things can I do to better analyze the problem, and how can I fix it? TIA

sounds like the starter sylanoid and/or starter relay Had the same problem once with my sylanoid, aced exactly like you mention. For those out there with Toyotas do NOT get a cheap starter, I would rebuild the stock sylanoid or have the whole starter rebuilt first. The cheap once just don't have nearly the same power as my 17 year old stock one.
