I thought the only powerstrokes out there were the 7.3L and the new 6.0?

What year/make/model did they usually come in?

IIRC, it's a small V-6 unit they use overseas, and in that new crosslander SUV..

yea its actually a 4 cyl. but its pushing 275 ft/lbs at 1400 rpm. that kicks the shit out of my 4.0L. and think of the gas mileage it would get. oh man. 300 a month a gas is getting old.

If it was actually affordable that would be cool. But more than likely it's not.

7700 was the quoted price for a complete engine. intercooler, glow plugs everything. and you just need to get a different bell housing to fit it to ranger tranny.

the engine is currently used in the southamerican rangers and also in some military vehicles. a company called Rover special vehicles is the US distributor of them.

Yea that'd be a killer setup to power your IFS frt axle

Wouldn't want to make it actually trail capable before I dropped 7700 on motor :flipoff2:

for 7700 i would be doing the 5.0 v10 vw bi turbo di engine when some wrecked ones start to appear..

it kicks the shit out of anything that will fit in my ranger. i gave up on getting one new in crate though. have to wait to get one from a wreck. got quite a few of em running around here in the detroit area...but the engine management system is gonna be a bitch to make work with my e40d. i will get a stand alone e40d controller, but the management system for the drivetrain is interrelated with the engine controls on the vw oilburner which is a big limp dick in the face when trying to keep costs down.

in 02 the est cost was 7500 but there was no way to get it shipped cause it was not legal for epa/dot reqs, today its over 12000. the transmission and case is 17000.

17000 fawkin dollars? better have a 10 year 300000 mile fawkin warranty on that thing eh? :shaking: bastards.
