I have a 85 extra-cab with an auto trannie I need to put a 3 inch body lift on it but I can't seem to find one. All of the kits I've seen say manual only. what do I need to do to the linkage to make this work.

You need an extension bracket for you shifter linkage.
NWOR(pardon my french) sells one.
And Roger Brown has designed one for $50 w/out a kit and $45 with the purchase of a body lift kit. I highly recommend him.

Unless you do a drivetrain lift.
Just depends on the setup you're going for.

yup, just to echo the point, I'm in the process of trimming mine down to about 1.5 in. Wish I didn't need any at all...

Yep, I still have that bracket. $15 plus ship and its yours. Just buy the body lift for the manual, and all u need is this bracket. I use a 3" Body lift on my 84 4runner. No prob, but I am set up a lot different than most of these guys. I have a 350/Th350/Np203, Fullwidth Dana 60/14 bolt, and 40" Boggers. I am still going to have to trim an ass load of fenders before I get these tires not to rub. Plus My cage is going to be 6 point(at least) to the frame with plates at the body, so the body isn't going anywhere. Go for it.
