I have tried the search but it has not worked as well as it did before the Board change. So pleas help if you can. I am wondering what year and model the NP 435 and the NP205 trannies came mated together, not divorced. If I found a 4x 435 will it mate up to a non divorced 205 w/ out an adapter or does it require an adapter? any input will be greatly appreciated.

You could get it married in a ford from 77-79 in everything from a bronco to an F350. After 79 the 205 was an option on F350's, but not very common after '79. GM's used the 205 in married applications until 92 (i think that's when the suburban body style changed), but in a GM it'd come with an SM465 (just as strong as a 435, equivalently geared) but after the mid '80's you won't find one in anything but a 1 ton. Dodge used the married 205 until 4 or 5 years ago. This would be another place to find one mated to a 435 or a 4500. Again, after the mid '80's you'll be hard pressed to find one in anything but a 1 ton HD.
To bolt to your 302 go for a 77-79 ford. The others ::can:: be done, but it's a bolt up. If nothing else buy the tranny and case seperate. I got my 205 for $100 and my T-18(like the 435) for $50. I'm wanting to go back to a 435, but that's what i could get cheap. Also I have a SBF to 435 bellhousing if you're looking.

I had a married 79 f-350 with that trans/t-case. Went to Gredel on this board, you should pm him and see if he parted the truck and has the trans and t-case.
