hey guys.ive searched this forum but i need a straight answer.i got a full size blazer with dana 60/14 bolt and 8 inch lift.its not very flexable and its rippin itself apart in severe twists.any suggestions without buying new springs.the front shackles are pointed ahead alot.i know thats not good.i was thinking of the 52 inch springs in the front but ill lose some lift.on the rear id like to use the longer springs with the drop out shackle.with inverted shackles.what lenght springs do i need for this?if i use stock front and rear with the inverted shackle in the rear it should be 4 inch total right?any other ideas.id like to get started but im lookin for some ideas on what works best. thanx!

My next setup is going to be this. A set of shackle fliped 56" springs in the back, and 52's up front. Great flex cheep!

I assume when you are talking about ripping appart you mean the body from frame flex. A good suspension should help but the best way to stop it is to put a full cage in it and tie it to the frame.

i used 6inch tuff country in the frt.and 63' in the rear super soft. on the street i put the 9000's on stiffer settings.

63' Damn those are some long leaf springs. You must have the wheelbase of a suburban :D

i'm bout to put some 63s on the rear of my k5. i've got them on the rear of my toy already and i'm cutting off the back half of the blazer, so i figured fawk it, i'll just move the stock hangers back and bolt em back on a little further back.

damn i just saw that, 63' yeah them some long sumbitches.

you will be amazed at the difference in ride and 'flex' if you move the shackles and make them longer
did it to my 10" springs and now the driveshaft slip is way to short

are 63" springs really that much better then the 56" ones?

I run 57 inch one ton springs on the front, after moving the mounts down and forward 5 inches in front. i just used a long set of shackles and a panhard bar. i have wayyy too much flex. it was cheap too. :D

i've seen the 63s do awesome on toy trucks and what not... and while i'm redoing, i figured i'd give it a shot on a fullsize. hope it works well.

slamchops....i cut off the back third of my suburban. It ended up weighing well over 1000 lbs. I cannot imagine that there is that much to cut off of a blazer.

tryin to do the dovetail thing with a tube base instead of the stock flooring... a lot of the current flooring is rusted out. gonna move to a 22 gal fuel tank and raise it some. by adding the 63s i'm tryin to get a slightly longer wheelbase.
