I'm interested in swaping the stock calipers on a 94 Rodeo D44 for a caliper with a larger piston. Anyone have ideas of what has or might work?

Thanks-

yeah get some different axles! :) My Waggy D44's Calipers are a little bit bigger.

care to explain your thinking here on beefing up the rear brakes

as opposed to say the fronts first?

Why bigger brakes in the rear you ask? I am interested in larger rear brake calipers to more closely match my brake MC. I am swapping into my cj-8 a waggy front axle with discs, (caliper bore is something like 2"-2 1/2") and the rear d44 from a rodeo (caliper bore is something like 1 1/2"). I have a hydroboost with a 68 vette master cylinder which has a 1 1/8" bore and I am now concerned about it building enough pressure with smaller isuzu calipers in the rear. I have the system all together and I will of course test it like it is, but in case I run into low pressure in the rear brakes I am interested in alternatives.

That enough explanation? Now-Does anyone have any suggestions?

That's what adjustable proportioning valves are made for.

:flipoff: take it easy....................the shit you just posted should have been your question in the 1st place :shaking:

we're supposed to have ESP to figure out what the fawk you're wrenching on

you said 94 Rodeo...which really wouldn't need to "beef" up the calipers because the MC bore is matched.
