Just finished up the rolling cart for the new JD2 Model 4 bender thought you folks may want to see it. I was so anxious to use it I thought well I can incorporate some tube into this, and I am very pleased with the work the machine does. I was very unsure of how the air over hydraulic pump would work but I can say now that it is reasonbly fast , very controllable, super quiet, and runs all the way down to 30psi (even while bending 2") My air compressor is a 60 gallon 6 HP , and I can make over a normal 90deg before compressor will kick in (@100psi), and this is a single stage so 125psi not bad.
Well I guess I get to start my buggy now ASAP.

The picture sucks but those upper tubes are angled in 12deg. The Bender (where it bolts on) is mounted to 1" plate, and the tubing that mainly supports it vertically is all 2x2x.250. In the center you see the 6 posts what you can hardly see is that on the outside of the posts are a complete 2" die set (on left side), and on the other outside a 1.5" set. The posts in the center will be able to hold another set a side. So if I keep one in the bender it'll hold six total which will probably be about right.

Here's a couple more pics. The Bender & dies are heavy as F#$@ so balance was critical but at the same time I did not want it to be too big.

Yet one more. I still have to cap the end of that tube! I always 45 deg cut those so they dont need caps. Next I'll have to paint it hhhmmmm... what color? certainly not:rainbow:

I figured if I took the picture in front of the Miller Syncrowave it would give you guys an idea of how big it actually is.
No I do not have enough welding machines:D I have a new mobile unit coming soon too.
So what color should I paint it any suggestions? I must get this done today so I can move on to some other very neccessary shop projects-------------like customers stuff!.
Have a good day all,

Bill there is a Lincoln pro cut 55 in the top picture at the back:D
I definately like Lincoln stuff too. In fact if you could see high up on the wall there would be a super huge Lincoln Motorsports banner!
