Hey Guys
I think either my throwout bearing or the input bearing on my Tranny is starting to go.
How can i tell the 2 apart and what are the sounds of them going bad?
Any advice is appreciated!
Thanks

Did you mean throwout bearing OR T-case input...? (you wrote "OF" and a T-case doesn't have one of these. :flipoff2: )
Well, if so, I'd think a throwout bearing would make noise only with the clutch depressed. A transfer case would make noise either all the time or only while 4wd was engaged...

Wow
I didnt know the beer was that strong :D
I meant the Throwout Bearing OR TRANNY Input bearing.
I got a little squealing noise at 15mph+ and it goes away when i press in the clutch
thanks

if it sqeals when you puch in the clutch, it's the throw out.

That sounds like the throwout bearing. I went through that with a ford pickup I used to own, same thing. It would quiet down when you put your foot on the clutch pedal, turned out to be a throwout bearing.

Hmmm
It makes a whirring squealing type sound when i am driving and as soon as i press the clutch in it goes away.
Sound like an input bearing of the tranny?
Thanks
