: Finished (mostly) flatbed, yet another writeup
LOKNLOD 01-14-2002, 08:17 AM Everybody's always wanting to see how people made their flatbeds, so I'm throwing this out so hopefully it'll show up when people search.
This was my winter break project....you can go through the pics (and eventually an actual write-up) at http://www.geocities.com/votegop/flatbed/
Here's a pic, (it's big)
http://www.geocities.com/votegop/flatbed/flatbed15.html
Geez dude, ditch Geo for REAL WEB SITE, so we can actually see the page without seeing "error: exceded data tranfer" crap :mad3:
Bones 01-14-2002, 08:44 AM Email me a couple, and I can post them.
Work (czubak@agcengineers.com)
Home (czubak@kc.rr.com)
LOKNLOD 01-14-2002, 09:38 AM Well, the pics work intermittently, so they'll have to do for the time being. If I had enough extra cash to pay for a website, I'd get my red star. On the bright side, i've figured out how to get around geocities and link straight to an image, i think...*knock on wood*
PARANOID56 01-14-2002, 10:20 AM Or you could get a free site at "gasp" Off-road.com and you would be rid of the problems. Here is the link http://home.off-road.com/

Rokrunner 01-14-2002, 04:27 PM damn you josh, everytime I get something done to my truck you post pics of yours first. Anyways, mine is nearly finished to, but no red star no pics so you will just have to wonder, but it is VERY similar to ROK_TOY's. (thanks Jay)

Haha, sorry man! I take it you've been busy lately too?
If it makes you feel better, my next project gets to be fixing a headgasket :( so I won't be doing anything too interesting for a while.
I wanna see what you're up too, email me a pic!
Hey LOKNLOD,
I like the John Wayne quote. Here is another John Wayne quote you just can't live without.
"Women. If we ever give them the vote, God help us!" -John Wayne, Rooster Cogburn
incontrol 01-14-2002, 06:58 PM Yea, like John Wayne toilet paper.
It's rough, it's tough, and it doesn't take crap off of anyone.
toy4x4boy 01-14-2002, 08:03 PM Worked for me! Looks good, fairly simple but effective! :smokin:

Rokrunner-I'd be very interested in seeing your pics, could you email some to me? field13@yahoo.com I'm thinking of cutting the back of my 4runner off, and am curious what you did to cap off the back of the cab. :D
Thanks!
Rokrunner 01-15-2002, 09:50 AM Danger,
My runner was trashed. There wasn't a straight panel on it. I ended up cutting it into throught the floorboard and the windshield pillar, and then I put a truck cab on it. Then built my flatbed. Here is a link to my truck cut in half.

I don't have any good pics of the bed but I will e-mail the rest of the pics showing what I did to the cab.
