the manual says its on the 'right' side of the engine. Is that from the drivers seat or looking from the front? My '94 5.2L isn't getting spark, the usual stuff checks out so i'm thinking of checking the resistance of the sensor. The manual says to remove the right side plugs, then the manifold heat shield. egr valve, oil pressure sending unit to get access to the nut. Is there a simpler way? Thanks!

yah it is a pain in the ass to change the CPS on the V8s. My friends went out on his 96. The CPS in located at 11 oclock on the back of the engine where it meets up with the tranny. It is hard to get to and usually most of the work is done blind. You can also get at it from underneath by the cat too. Best of luck to ya. You will need an 18 inch extension too
