Thought the underhood photo looked VERY SPARSE for an 82, not to mention the chopped off tubes on the air cleaner or anything in particular. So I e-mailed the seller (about 10pm, normal surf time for me) and suggested that if emissions equipment were missing, he might want to say so in his ad. 10:50 I get this response:

"you are wrong the engine is stock except for a holly carb, everything is there so i'm not sure what you are talking about this car is registered in calif one of the toughest states in the union."

No, but it does snow in Massachusetts. Thats where the liscense plates say it's from. So it's a rusty plow truck. 10 grand???

Caveat Emptor baby. Ebay can be a scary place if you don't know what you're shopping for....

that 82 sold not long ago on Ebay, must be a real turd if he is un-loading it so fast.

ad says that "Vehicle has a current CA reg. sticker" & he's listing for a friend- maybe the pics are old. I would not want to spend $10,000+ and have to mess around fixing it to pass smog.
I've seen it snow here a couple times in my life, its pretty freaky- melts as soon as it hits the ground though. It would be pretty funny rollin around here with a snow plow on the front of the land cruiser. That'd be one way to deal with traffic- plow em out of your way!
