83-83 are vaccuum disconnect, should be around 60-61" wide

gearing is either 3.31 or 2.73

The vacume disconects were 83-84 and many more gear ratios were available. The ones I find most often for the 80s Waggies are the 3.31 and 3.73 gears. But I see 4.10 occasional listed for sale as stock axles(maybe it was a factory option).

Good price, how much is that in real money, about $27 :D
Out of curiousity, did he say what gears it has?
I just bought an 86, from a guy in L.A. for $125, with steering linkage and suspension.

ummmmm stock gears for waggies are either 3.31 or 2.73 for the 80s. only 4.10s and 3.73s i've heard of were in the 70s. 80s Jtrucks or cheros may have 4.10s... dunno.

Very true indeed . The gear ratio is 2.73 like Willypete said. I'm grabbing this one, it will look great along side the 60 one day. :smokin:

I just read somewhere that the 86 Waggy Front diff might have the smaller U-joints (non 297's)

this true??
