Regardless, on a CJ almost any front axle swap is going to involve outboarding the spring mounts. Same as going to full width axles.
It is a good swap for a CJ, and probably one of the easiest.
Front outboard the mounts, rear move the mpounts on the axle.
No way around this without narowing an axle. But Scout D44s are a nice width and really still quiet narrow. I ran them for years before going to HP60/14 bolt full width.
Thread about this basically already going ....full width CJ7 (http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=247428)

Scout axles work well in the rear. My friends and I have done several of these swaps, however you may want something stronger for that big a tire.

37s are a lot of tire for 44s, and way too much for 3.54s... You're not going to be doing very well w/ the combo on or off road.
