: Syko's Going Buggy
IndyCJ 05-13-2004, 07:38 AM Since the bastard is too cheap to buy a red star. :flipoff2: He sent me these to post.
Remember it's a work in progress and he knows that it needs more triangulation. :flipoff2:
He will answer questions. I do know that it's 2" .120 DOM. Enjoy

JeepinDoug 11-18-2004, 09:37 PM Ok, so this thread is old as hell but,
Welding a main hoop footing to an outside radius is looking really scary. I'm hoping you added alot more tube to hold that thing up.

I talked to Syko a couple of days ago. It's progressing, just not as quick as he'd like.
You know, that whole getting married/having a baby thing is taking up alot of time. :D
I think that the tube work is done, just waiting on paint and then finishing it up.

Yes, I added a lot more tube. :shaking: :flipoff2:
I'll post updated pics later tonight......
A rear dana 60, with disk brakes, 35 spline alloys, detroit, narrowed to 62.5 is going in the rear. I have cut a chevy hd44 down 4" to move the springs back under the frame. It gets warns and CTMs along with the detroit, and Rockstomper highsteer. I have the shackle reversal almost done. I still need drill out the frame for the rear spring hanger on the front. The flooring is almost complete. The fuel cell is mounted.
I have almost all the parts I need to finish. I just need time to finish it.:D I have to have it complete before my baby pops out in April. I should be able to make that deadline with room to spare.
Like I said Pics to come later
MrWillys 11-20-2004, 04:21 PM It just isn't right to attempt such a grand project with a gargage that clean! Looks great, but do you do windows?
84cj7305 12-03-2004, 10:17 PM pics common man where are they
Well Well, I guess I almost let this die......Sorry guys. It only took 2 year to complete this rebuild. * shaking head* I guess getting married and having a baby slows things down alittle, who would have thought...:D Any way on to the pics.......

I need to finish up the wiring under the dash and give the motor a good tune up. Oh, and I need to find some 15x10 beadlocks....My 15x12 MRT's just won't work with the Iroks... I will be testing Labor day weekend. Look for more action shot later..
Bushwhacker 08-23-2005, 03:32 PM Got any more close up interior shots of the tube work?

Bushwhacker 08-24-2005, 06:37 AM Is the cowl/firewall welded to/supported by the tube work instead of body mounts?
Is the cowl/firewall welded to/supported by the tube work instead of body mounts?
It bolts to the floor and the A pillar/lower hoop.......The theory was........If at a later date I wanted to tube out the front I could remove the stuff from the firewall and remove it with ease. I'm not using any of the body mounts. I had to cut them off to make room for the 45* rockers..
bigdude 08-24-2005, 07:27 AM I Like it! Clean and simple, nice work.
IndyCJ 08-24-2005, 07:45 AM Dude, looks sweet. You gonna mix pancakes with that shifter?
I like the paint job on the hood. :flipoff2:
You done with the bender? Mind if I 'borrow' it.
I Like it! Clean and simple, nice work.
Thanks Kev, haven't seen you around much any more. You still in FL. Once I get the bugs worked out want to hit Tellico?

What you don't like the hot rod shifter...:D I thought if some one gave me lip on the trail I'll beat them with it.:D
I know a guy that knows a guy that could hook you up with a paint job like that....:D
As far as the bender goes - I have a YJ that I'm tubing out next. Should be kinda like mine but a little different and I need to build a stocker cage for the brother inlaw....After that you can use it....
