I have a toyota 8" rearend on its way to me from Arizona where it has been sitting in a shed for 3 years. It's got 4.88s and a detroit in it, so there are no immediate plans to tear out the third and replace/rebuild it. My question is what seals/bearings would you replace if you were gonna be putting this under your DD? Working on axles is so much easier on the bench than under the truck. Also, is there anything special about the bearings and seals in this axle? I've only ever dealt with dana stuff. Thanks!

go ahead and replace all the bearings and seals while you have it apart, much easier, will save you a lot of headaches and you have the security of knowing they wont go out on the street
