I guess my sigline should say at work to pay for my bad habits. I am in western NorthCarolina,Moved here from Sac,moved there from Salt lake, moved there from Yucca Valley.Did I ever mention I hate it here.
I paid 2130 with shipping.I think that was ok it was a little more than jobber but oh well, it is on the way.I had no oter option the way the rig is set up.
I will be in Farmington in march for ARCA. The truck is MY new comp rig.It is a 91 sami 104" wheelbase, coilover front,1/4 eliptic rear, cruiser rear with warn fullfloat conversion,rr arb 4.88,front mini v6 third 4.88 detroit with 10bolt outer(soon still gathering parts) 4.16 transfercase,1310 shafts all around, lots o tube with a cd player and heater.
it is not the perfecr set up but alot cheaper than most other comp trucks, and way lighter than the landcruiser I built last year. The gawddamn muther fawkin part is I built it from scratch in 2 months(if it does not work some guy named Juan built it lol)
I am getting a card reader today so there will be some pics soon.

Seen the light? I've wanted to throw a solid axle on this rig since before I bought it. Just taken me this long to get to where I can afford it, have a friend with the welding/fabbing skills it'll take, and so on.

I'd really like to go dual-cases (5.2:1) instead of the 4.7:1 gears, but that requires a new crossmember, and TWO new driveshafts... And I'm pushing my budget pretty hard as it is.

Now all I need to do is steal a tow rig and trailer. Where in town are you again, Tim? :D

You guys in the US have it easy!! I just bought a marlin 4.7 kit for my sammy and it's gonna cost about $1400 canadian to get it to the door!!! That's highway robbery and rape at the same time!!!!!!:smokin:

TNToy

$1400!!! You mean the 4.7:1 gears, right? Did you buy the kit with the front half of the case ground& clearanced or something?

Because the gearset alone (it comes with gasket, seals, and front bearings... but anyway...) is like $670 from Marlin. What exactly did you get?

And did you get his NEW gear design? Go see www.marlincrawler.com for more details.
