We placed an order with the factory based on their commitment to supply the locker and we have not yet seen the model appear on the manufacturing schedule. We have them booked through July with current model orders so it would be after that before it could possibly be scheduled.

Order placed with the factory and they have ordered the special machinery that is needed to handle the larger diameter steel. That had a three month (minimum) delivery time from the manufacturer, and then they have to install it. But at least it is in their schedule. We will post here the projected ship dates as soon as they have the information on their end when they will see the equipment.

Right now we feel October is a little opimistic. The factory is still getting the new cutters installed and tested for the Dana 60 which preceeded the Chrysler 8.25 development by over a year.

We understand from engineering that they have released the Ford 9" 31 spline for production. We will check with them on availability and pricing and post something here. The Ford 9" Aussie Locker will include a full set of gears including the axle and inner-cam gears unlike the competition that does not provide the axle gears, forcing you to use the stock gears in the diff.

Your proposed set up is a good one. The Dana 44 and the Aussie Locker XD14430 will handle the 36"-37" tires without a problem. Usually a question like yours gets a lot of responses from all sides of the issue here on Pirate. That is one of the good aspects of this forum. From our perspective, the Dana 44, Aussie Locker and the tire size you specified will work well. They are on order and released by the factory, so we are waiting on the manufacturing schedule when they will be put into the line. We see no problems with 42" tires, etc. and our warranty will not have any language limiting these items.

The Dana 60 35 spline Aussie Locker has been developed, fully tested and engineering has released the model to production. Special machining tools to handle the larger diameter steel were purchased and finally received in Australia from the German producer. We have ordered the first 100 units and we are just waiting on the factory to tell us when they will put this order in the manufacturing schedule. As soon as we have that date we will post and ETA here.
