looking for any 92 and newer solid axle swap pictures of troopers..
links to conversions also would be nice :)

several questions as well

1. Would a FJ60 front axle be a good swap?

2. What leaf springs for a spring over ?

3.Would a body lift be needed for 33-34" tires?

4. Oil pan clearance a problem with sas?

i can tell ya this: a body lift would not be needed once you're done with SAS 35s would sit comfortably in the fender wells i think with plenty of room for clearance, that is, as long as you convert to spring over in the rear. as for that axle, i would just suggest a dana 44, simply for strength, locker/ parts/gearing options, and not having to deal with birfields.

as far as axle goes, i think the best choice for a 2nd gen trooper would be an FJ80 axle (out of the 93ish -99ish land cruisers) they have great width at around 64in, high pinion diffs, and the birfield joints are much bigger than the mini truck axles. they are close to a D60 in strength. i looked into it when i had my 95 trooper. as far as springs go i would say either stock waggys or mixing some other springs in with them if they are to soft, if that doesn't work i'd go rancho 44044s. oil pan clearance shouldn't be an issue but i'm not possitive as i haven't done this before. good luck

I agree about the bodylift. But 92's and up are coil sprung in the rear :).

coil sprung rear shouldn't be a problem, all you have to do is get taller coils , and depending on how high you go you might have to get longer track bars.

you're right i forgot about the coil sprung in the newer trucks, i'm used to dealing with the pre-92 trucks here
