Ok, i have a 95 XJ, i am looking at a 6in lift so i can run 33x12.5's. What i want to know is what are my options. I dont want to slouch on quality , but i dont want to spend an arm and a leg either. Does anyone have and suggestions? If i have to I will settle for 32x11.5's but i am sure there is a way.

I'll ignore the can of worms that ensues with a 6" lift on a 95 XJ and let you research that yourself.

http://www.rubiconexpress.com

http://www.rustysoffroad.com

Both make excellent quality products for the XJ. Why bother with 6" though? Do 4.5 and hack the fenders. You will still have plenty of room to move those tires, and you will save yourself a fortune.

Stay away from Krusty's offroad. ORGS, Rubicon, would be my top two if I was going to just by something.... the best way is to piece all the parts together yourself to make the strongest and most capable kit.

Go with Rubicon all the way. They are great people who produce a quality product.

No offense, but what is your beef with Rusty's? I've got no complaints with the suspension products that I am running. Great price too. The springs ride really well on the road and flex like hell on the trail. Good stuff in my opinion.

ORGS on the other hand... Good product, but they should really include a jar of vaseline with the price.

there is a lot of talk about claytons long arms. if I were going 6" I'd have nothing but long arms. wait I got long arms :flipoff2: and its worth it, you won't be sorry.

I have a Tomken 6" lift and It is ok it flex's really well the only draw back that I can see is the upper arms are not adjustable. If I were you I would wait just a little longer there are several companies coming out with long arm kits with in the next few months. Or you could get some RE long arms for a TJ and cut them down and make your own long arm kit. I agree on the Krusty's stuff he might make a good product but his sevice is kinda crappy. Maybe I just had a bad experiance but I will never buy anything from him again. I got the run around for 9 months from him he kept saying that ups lost the part when truthfully he had never even made it and didn't have any intentions of makeing any time soon. But from what I have seen and heard He makes and excelent lift. Like I said before I would wait a little longer to see what come out. :D

I would be wary of rockkrawler. I've been hearing a lot of shit lately about their parts breaking easily under normal use. Personally, I don't trust any company that uses the word "extreme" in front of the words drop pitman arm.

I wil second the notion to stay away from Krusty's Off Road. My first set of leaves went flat in about 6 months, then it took two months of hounding to get the refund from the warrenty exchange put back on the credit card :nuke: :mad3: . If you have more money than brains, go with SkyJacker, they make two kits, 6" or 8", and both are long arms.

There are more problems with Rusty's offroad, but i wont go into them. I think the above posts spoke for me.

If the products worked for you, then thats awesome, dont take it as a flame.. if you got your products in a timely mannor, than that's great too.. but i won't do business with him ever again. He's screwed to many people over that i know, including myself.

ORGS may charge a bit more for their products, but they have always been there to help me.. whenever in trouble so i cant talk crap. They take a extremely long time to manufacturer their products, unlike some fabricators that pump them out as fast as possible and they stand 100% behind them. I beleive you pay for what you get. Just like when you see a 80 year old man with a 27 year hottie, he got what he paid for.:D

RE wont sell these arms separatly.

As for 33s on an XJ I would just get the RE 4.5 kit and do a lil trimming of course I have an 8 inch lift and lots of trimming to fit my 37s so what do I know about 33s.

I think RE or Tomken both have really nice kits. In fact Tomken just came out with a killer long arm kit that looks really beefy and nice. Give Dirk at www.dpgoffroad.com a call and he can take care of what you want............peace

I had tomken 6" with an additional 2" added to the front coil spacer....In the rear you can use lowering shackles made for a full size chevrolet for the additional 2" I ran 33's w/very minor triming....worked great ! GL:)

Ok guys I have the lift, i went rubicon Exp. 4.5" with 2" spacers.
it has the U & L CA's and a track bar for that lift.
How about steering, I am going to have a problem there aren't I.
I am looking for an effective and inexpensive way to to correct this. Any suggestions.

You might want to do a little searching or talk to people with that lift kit on what they have done. I am running a modified tomken 6", I used a drop pitman and converted to high steer. I have zero bump steer. The track bar has been an adventure. Tore it off the frame so I built a new one that is longer and built a crossmember to tie it to the other side of the frame. It works better, but I am still not satisfied with high speed handeling yet. Anything you need to know is available here and at other sites if you spend the time to search.
