I just finished the buildup on my 86 4runner. Went to start it up the other day and the idle jumped up to 3000 rpm and would not come down. This motor was swapped out from another 4 runner I had, same year, that I drove for about a year so I know there is nothing wrong with it.(I even swapped all the wiring as well). I adjusted the tps and it brought the idle down to around 1200, but when I give it gas it just bogs down. You guys think it could possibly be the tps? Any help is greatly appreciated. It is a 22re and 5speed transmission if that makes a difference
